From the elegant era of ocean liners comes this well-preserved cabin class dinning room menu for that is now more than five decades old.  The Gala Dinner that evening offered a wild array of choices . . .  All listed on this original menu.
 
The front bears a beautiful rendering of the Queen Mary herself.  (Photo 1)

Chef's Suggestions included Melon frappe, Creme Agnes Sorel, Supreme de Turbotin, Tlie Mignongrillee, Tyrolienne Petit Poie, Salade Hawaiian, and Savaron glace aux Fraises.  (Photo2)

The back of the menu is plain and blakn, except for the words "PRINTED IN ENGLAND" and the mark "D.F.Q.M." in small faint print at the bottom.  (Photo 3)

The menu consists of the thicker stock cover, with a paper insert.  Both are punched, and bound with a green cord with tassel ends, which can be seen in the photos.

Folded size is approximately 10.5" high x 8.25" wide.

This piece is in very decent condition, given its age (over 50 years!), with some stray marks, particularly on the back cover, which can be seen in the photo.


A beautiful piece of memorabilia from the life of one of the former Queens of the Ocean, the original Queen Mary!
