Lapel Pin
from the
m/s Scotia Prince,
Prince of Fundy Cruises
In original, unopened package
Beautiful Scotia Prince lapel pin bears the words "Maine - Nova Scotia" and "m/s Scotia Prince" in gold alongside a red crown, on a blue background, under a representation of the ship. This is a wonderful example of an on board product. The pin is in its original plastic package, which has never been opened. Although the outside of the plastic packaging shows some wear from age, the pin itself appears to be in excellent, or new, condition. Size - about 1.25" wide, at the widest point.
The Stena Olympica was purchased from Stena in 1982, and renamed the Scotia Prince, under which she has sailed for Prince of Fundy Cruises until 2004. The line was forced to cancel the entire 2005 season when mold was discovered in the Portland Terminal, prompting the city to cancel the line's lease there without notice. In 2005, the ship served a six month tour of duty as a floating hotel for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. She was reportedly sold in 2007. . .
The Olympica was built for Stena in 1972.
