From Cunard - a box of unstruck matches depictint the QE2 on one side and the old Britannia on the other, in black and white drawings on blue. "CUNARD" appears in red on the edgs of the box opposite the strike plate.

The famous Cunard Line began operation in 1840 as the Britisn and North American Royal Mail Steam-Packet Company. The line subsequently operated as the Cunard Stemship Line (1878-1934) and Cunard White Star Limited (1934-1950), becoming simply the Cunard Line in 1950. Today, the Cunard brand belongs to the Carnival Corporation. The ocean liner Queen Mary 2 (named for her predecesor, Queen Mary, 1936-67) first sailed in 2004, and continues to sail for Cunard today.
