Unused Baggage Tag
The s.s. Enchanted Isle
(Commodore Cruise Line)
circa 1995
Unused baggage tag from the Enchanted Isle, which last actively sailed for the Commodore Cruise Line from 1990-2000. A beautiful tag, in very good to excellent condition. On the front, the ship's name under the blue and yellow insignia. On the back, still unused spaces to fill in the bag owner's information. Original string for affixing the tag to the luggage still attached.
Size: Approximately 4.5" by a little over 3.75"
Condition: Very Good, if not Excellent
1958: Built for Moore-McCormack, and named Argentina II; 1972: Purchased by Holland America Line, and named the Veendam; 1984: Sold to Bahama Cruise LIne & Bermuda Star LIne and called Bermuda Star. Became Commodore's Enchanted Isle in 1990. Commodore went out of business in 2000, and the Emerald Isle was laid up in New Orleans until 2003, when she finally sailed for one last time, as the New Orleans. The breakers took her at the end of that final voyage.
