Unused Baggage Tag

Regency Cruises
circa 1990's
Unused baggage tag from the Regent Sun, which last sailed for Regency Cruises from 1988-1995. Thel tag is in very good to excellent condition, with original string still in tact. On the front, the ship's name on a yellow field, with a space for the passenger's stateroom number on the end. On the back, still unused spaces to fill in the bag owner's information.
Size: 2.1675" x 5.25"
Condition: Very Good, if not Excellent
Built in 1964 as the Shalom, for ZIM Israel Navigation Company, for who she sailed until 1967. Subsequent names under which she sailed included Hanseatic (German Americal LIne), Doric (Home Lines), Royal Odyssey (Royal Cruise Line), Regent Sun (Regency Cruises), and Sun Venture (Royal Venture Cruises) . Her last owners, Canyon Ranch were to have used her as a moored hotel ship called Canyon Ranch at Sea, but instead sold her for scrap in 2000. She sank while enroute to the scrap yard, and her remains now lie off the southern coast of Africa.
